This morning I found a beautiful male YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER and two EASTERN
PHOEBES in my yard in Cottage Grove.

Yesterday I checked out Neal Ave. again with Abrahm Simons and we got great
looks at some of the LAPLAND LONGSPURS that are just south of 70th St.  I'd
estimate there were at least 100 individuals in the flock.  Farther south on
Neal we found an EASTERN MEADOWLARK, American Kestrel, and Trumpeter Swans.  On
100th St. we found a flock of at least 200 Common Redpolls, followed by another
flock of at least 100 on 77th St.

Abrahm told me that before I joined him, he was able to briefly relocate the
SNOW BUNTINGS that I reported there the previous day.
