My observations and comments from others indicate waterfowl numbers in
Cottonwood County (especially geese) have dropped greatly since Wednesday.
Today I saw no white-fronts or snows/Ross's.

On the flip side tree swallows and pelicans were seen in multiple locations
during a quick excursion today. Most conspicuous waterfowl species today
were probably Scaup, Green-winged teal, Blue-winged Teal, and Widgeon. Tree
Sparrows and Juncos are still abundant (perhaps increasing). My FOYs for
today were Kingfisher, coot, and Pelican. Kestrels continue to go through
in reasonable numbers, but it sure seems to me that they were more abundant
20 years ago.
