Yesterday afternoon I found 3 yellow-rumped warblers in different locations
along the Mississippi River, one in Benton County at the Sauk Rapids Municipal
Park - along with eastern phoebe and both kinglets.  Another bird was in
Stearns County on the campus of the VA Hospital, and a third along the Sauk
River in Waite Park.

On the Miss. River, waterfowl are a lot more spread out as the river is opening
up, but I did see my first red-breasted mergansers of the year.   An osprey was
sitting on the river side of CR 1, about 1/2 mile west of Hwy. 15.
