Wandering about the Metro Area I noticed that robins were everywhere. Some
in large flocks. what was unusual was the many robins in the snow under
the crabapples. I have seen tree swallows hunting insects above open water
of lakes and rivers, but today they were flying around above the pavement
of an office area. Still finding large number of juncos. They were
feeding in the feeders rather than below them. And, we had a Fox Sparrow
below the feeder still. I had a flock of close to a hundred Ring-billed
Gulls flying over Quigley. And, two TV's over the cities.

I checked out two of my duck houses. One was empty and one had two Wood
Duck and one Hooded Merganser egg. Yesterday was the first day that I saw
both ducks in the water nearby. We usually get both ducks laying in the
same houses. The Hoodies have rounder eggs than the more oval Woody eggs.
