Refuge staff, volunteers and Friends of Sherburne we were treated to a
presentation by Jim Gilbert today, and we followed up with a trip around the
Prairie's Edge Wildlife Drive.

We saw FOY Forster's terns (2 or 3) and palm warblers (2) that are just
starting to trickle in.  Someone reported a rose-breasted grosbeak this
morning, but we didn't see it during our tour.  There were 2 little gray eaglet
heads poking out of the Bergerson Pool nest as well.

Our log jam of waterfowl all left Monday-Tuesday.  Guess they had clear skies
and a window of time to push on. Marshes that were full of ducks are now fairly
empty.  We have quite a few blue-winged and green-winged teal left, and other
resident nesters.
