While birding along the North shore today, in St. Louis, Lake and Cook
counties. With Kim Eckert, Ron Erpelding and Mark Junghans, we encountered
large numbers of Warblers at a number of locations in both St. Louis and Lake
counties.

Some of the better locations for Warblers today included, Park Point, near the
recreation field, the town of Knife River and the small city park in Two
Harbors.

Here are a few of the species we observed that we enjoyed and were not in other
postings from the area today.

Ruddy Turnstone - 20 - observed at Park Point, near 12th Ave.
Common Tern - Park Point
Olive-sided Flycatcher - Two Harbors, city park.
Yellow-bellied Flycatcher - This species was observed in all three counties.
Blue-headed Vireo
Philadelphia Vireo
Winter Wren
Northern Mockingbird - A single Northern Mockingbird was observed at Park
Point. The bird was observed near the recreation field. This is likely the
bird that has been previously reported from this area.
Golden-winged Warbler - A female Golden-winged Warbler was observed at Park
Point, near the recreation field and a second female Golden-winged Warbler was
observed in Two Harbors, near the Edna G. tug boat.
Northern Cardinal - Park Point, near the recreation field.
Yellow-headed Blackbird - Lake county, near Castle Danger.
