Now that Pastor Al Schirmacher has moved to Kansas, the refuge Hi All, Now that Pastor Al Schirmacher has moved to Kansas, the refuge is short on bird field trip leaders. Doug Stucki is great, but he's got an over-full schedule, with leading butterfly trips and helping us with our environmental education program, plus all of his other activities.
If anyone is available to help us out, I'd appreciate it. All you'd have to commit to is one trip (or more if you'd like) a year - timing at your availability, but we need to be able to put the date on a calendar of events and count on you for that date ahead of time. They can be hiking one of the trails, or just going around the wildlife drive with stops made - whatever you wish to do. If we can't find tour leaders, we will not be able to offer guided trips. I know many of you prefer to come up birding on your own. But for every one of you who likes to bird this way, I probably have 5 others who ask about guided trips. We also have requests for a guide for youth groups on occasion. If you are able to help out in any way, please email me back channel. Thanks very much!
