Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve
Field Trip Report
 
Our group enjoyed a nice walk at Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve this morning.  We 
hike some of the trails from the park entrance on Murphy Lake Road and from the 
parking lot on Sunset Lake Blvd.  Here are some of the species we observed 
today.  Good maps of the park are available on the Three Rivers Park District 
web page.
 
Common Loon
Broad-winged Hawk
Black-billed Cuckoo
Chimney Swift
Olive-sided Flycatcher
Alder Flycatcher - 3 - Heard from and near the Horse trail parking lot.
Yellow-throated Vireo
Veery
Wood Thrush
Ovenbird
Blue-winged Warbler
Tennessee Warbler
Hooded Warbler - Near trail intersection #10.
Henslow's Sparrow - Between trail marker 31 and 32.
Scarlet Tanager
