I led a trip to Sax-Zim Bog yesterday, and although I was surprised with
the relatively low numbers of birds found throughout the bog, a great deal
of diversity was definitely present!

Highlights from yesterday's visit to the bog included 4 Yellow-bellied
Flycatchers, one Boreal Chickadee, one Gray Jay, 16 species of Warblers,
and three Le Conte's Sparrows. Towards the beginning of the morning, we got
looks at a Sharp-tailed Grouse in a tree, perched just like an Upland
Sandpiper with its legs and neck stretched out... goofy bird! We had 76
species observed for the day.

Good birding,
