Morning walk netted 25 Species of birds! Highlights included Olive Sided Flycatcher at end of trail that goes west in tall dead tree! And a immature male pileated Woodpecker drinking water out of a hollowed out fork of a tree near the parking lot. Been birding since 1970, have never seen this before! He stayed there for 4-5 minutes! Photos to follow From Roy Z who was taking pics! Also young Buck in Velvet laying in the grass along west trail. He stayed for a few minutes before he got up and left! :))
