Viewed around 3 PM today, visiting at least three groves including the one across the county line, affording near looks and far looks aided by the scope. It seemed that when one or two blue jays showed up at the feeders in the yard of the little house by the tracks, that would embolden the woodpecker to fly in from wherever it had been and join them in the trees by the side street.
