Took my client to Isabella area and with the new snow on the ground and
much of the Stoney River Road compacted with snow grit was hard to locate
so no Spruce Grouse were to be found today.

Stoney River Road is in excellent shape for driving as is the Whyte Rd in
Lake County.

We did see two Great Gray Owls on the Stoney River Road about 4 miles south
of Highway 1 on the Stoney River Road. They were hunting quite close
together.

We also manage to locate a small flock of Pine Grosbeaks coming to some
feeders along Highway 1 about 5 miles west of the community of Isabella.
For those that remember the pink house on Hwy 1 well the neighbors are
feeding birds and are attracting a lot of Goldfinches and Pine Grosbeaks.

We did observe a Coyote on the Stoney River Road.

We looked for the King Eider and could not locate it. The last known
observation was on Dec 14 (Duluth Christmas Bird Count).

Good day!
