We had a Red-shouldered Hawk visit our suet feeders today. We live along the St. Croix River below Taylors Falls. This is good habitat for these hawks and they do visit our open suet feeder in the winter from time to time. This one was interested in suet (mostly) and a piece of beef kidney that was in the suet that I buy from a butcher shop in the area. My apologies if anyone is offended by the food item in one photo.
