Warren Nelson was one of the most wonderful guys I have ever known. Over 20 years ago, I asked him to be part of my first field guide, Birds of Minnesota. Not only did he provide a number of wonderful images but he also helped to edited the text and assisted with the range maps. The birding community has suffered a great loss with the passing of Warren.
