I too benefited from Warren Nelson's kindness and county birding knowledge as I
began to discover Aitkin County (which, for those new to the hobby, is an
absolute jewel).

Thanks, Sparky, for reminding us of the Long-billed Curlew story. I also
remember sharing a Tufted Titmouse with him, Mark and Ken/Pam Perry; such was
not just another tick on his list, but a bird to be savored.

Just a thought for the MOU board: perhaps consider adding his name to the next
newly created MOU award?

Having relocated for ministry in Kansas, cannot attend his funeral.
Condolences to family and friends.
