Folks

I just completed a search for "alpha codes for birds". The link in my
"Favorites" was dead and so were several of the URLs I got from Google. I also
searched all over the AOU website to no effect. I finally found a table on the
USGS website. Click on "species list". It opens a giant list that includes
all NAmerican birds, including AK and HI and also the Caribbean and all
"accidentals" ever recorded, apparently.

Nevertheless, the birds of interest for this part of the country--- resident
and migrant--- are here
