There is a small but productive shorebird spot one mile north of the town
of Kandiyohi. It is a flooded drain tile intake in a soy bean field on the
west side of CR 8 just south of the cemetery. The water and mudflats only
take up 1-2 acres. This morning's shorebirds included:

2 Baird's Sandpipers
2 Stilt Sandpipers
1 Semipalmated Plover
1 Solitary Sandpiper
5 Lesser Yellowlegs
1 Greater Yellowlegs
15 Least Sandpipers
16 Killdeer
1 Wilson's Snipe
