Last Sunday, April 3, I spent some time at Big Stone NWR. At about 3:00
p.m., I witnessed quite a sight: a giant, though far away flock of geese.
With help from Peter Nichols, I ID'd both blue and white morph Snow Geese
from photos (Thanks!), but there might could be some GWFG or Ross's in
there as well.

Here's a link to my video: https://youtu.be/Ztdyx7hZNfw

The digiscoped video quality is not so great, because of the distance, high
winds, optics, and videographer. PLEASE NOTE: If you are sensitive,
watching the video might induce nausea.

There are some highly cropped photos in my eBird post as well:

Does 1,000 seem like a fair estimate? Do you see anything other than Snow
Geese?

You can see the whole enormous cloud of birds at the beginning of the
video, before I attached my phone to my scope.

It was an awesome experience to see that whirling, swirling cloud of noisy
birds.
