Could someone possibly explain how birders can visit the Blue Lake Sewage Treatment Plant ponds. I visited years ago and seem to remember just driving into the plant. I revisited today and the entire facility seemed to be fenced off, with access gates closed.
Birders are still going there because they are posting sightings to eBird. I'd appreciate any guidance from recent visitors. Thank you.
