Wow, you did great! I wouldn't think though that she would want to leave her 
egg at this point.

MOU, 

Yesterday, I found a female hummingbird on our driveway obviously 
down from window strike. I did the usual precaution and put it in a 
box hoping for a recovery. Due to a slow recovery, I mixed up some sugar 
water using the correct formula and kept her hydrated and fed. There 
were several attempts to release her, each time flight was a little 
longer. She made it to a branch, only to fall to the ground in an 
attempt to fly. Daylight was waning so keeping her overnight was going 
to be the next step. 
I fed her every 2 hours overnight. She seemed to be doing OK. AND 
this morning SURPRISE, she laid an egg sometime between 4:30am and 7:30am!! 
ANY SUGGESTIONS where to go from here? 
I am going to try to release her again, today.
