Just wanted to let everyone know there is a female Painted Bunting in Bemidji!
The bird was seen and photographed three times over the course of this evening
at Susan Wachtler’s feeders and on her upper deck railing. She sent me several
of her photos if anyone would like to see.
She would like to share and although her husband is a little wary of strangers
in
the yard, they are open to visitors tomorrow, as long as everyone promises to
be respectful of course!
They have two outdoor dogs that have the run of the yard, but they are
friendly.
She says she and her husband won’t be home tomorrow, but birders are
welcome to come visit if they’d like. She only asks that you park on the
pavement. She says you will have to park and walk down towards the lake to
look up and see the feeders and her deck railing.

Their address is: 15514 Liberty Court NW, Bemidji

She wishes everybody the best of luck and hopes the bird sticks around
tomorrow!
