The Great Black-back Gull, initially reported by Ezra Hosch, is still present at Spring Lake Park in Dakota Cnty. The best view this afternoon (3ish) was from the parking area at the end of Fahey Rd (near the archery range). A short hike to the river was necessary.
Amongst other early birds, I had fly-overs of Greater White-fronted Geese and Sandhill Cranes. What I could see of 180 St Marsh near Vermillion was all frozen - except the water over the road. From the Goodwin Ave side (east), the road is flooded and closed immediately past the Century Farm. Maybe in a few weeks? -rick, mpls ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
