In our November meeting, former MOU "Young Birder of the Year" Alex Sundvall will give a presentation on his trip to the remote Alaskan island of Attu. Though this was entirely within the United States, "global birding" simply entails challenging travel and birdlife different from home, so this surely qualifies!
