Do you like to try different Christmas Bird Counts every year? How about
giving the Mountain Lake - Windom CBC a try? We're looking for a few extra
participants for our count, which will be held on Saturday, January 4th.

Some likely open-country species could include snow buntings, snowy owls,
lapland longspurs, and horned larks. Rough-legged hawks and northern
shrikes are also very possible. If you're feeling super lucky there is even
a (slight) chance of finding an elusive gray partridge. If you're
absolutely dying to see a Eurasian collared-dove, I'm sure we can find you
one or twenty. I'm also more than happy to hand over the overwhelming job
of counting house sparrows at my feeders.

Start working on your 2020 year list by participating in a Christmas Bird
Count (preferably this one). You never know what you'll find on a CBC!

Participants will gather on Saturday, January 4th at the Windom Wetland
Management District office at 7:30 AM to divide up the count circle and
fill up on coffee.

49663 County Road 17, Windom, MN 56101

Looking forward to a fun time. Hope to see you there!
