Question from around Virginia MN: where is Greenwood Lake? I wasn't aware there
was any little lake of any name on Park Point, and spent some hours Saturday on
the point spooking up Lapland longspurs by the tens and hundreds along the
dunes, roadsides and ball field without seeing the Smiths'. Is the Greenwood
Lake of the Smith's longspurs by any chance the one that's up Lake County Hwy.
2 north of Two Harbors or what am I missing? Thank you any and all.Tanya Beyer

SMLO at Park Point. Thanks to everyone who responded to my questions about SMLO
and LALO. And the location. I appreciate the clarifications. In part I also
wanted clarification on the location as there was no city or county in the
email about these birds. There could be more than one Park Point in the state
of Minnesota but maybe not. Kindly list county or city in your postings. Thank
You!Peace and All Good!Carolyn Law osf320.260.1030carolynlaw.comwww.fslf.org

[email protected]: Re: [mou-net] SMLO at Park Point. For what it's
worth, there was a flock of around 20 Smith's Longspurs (for what it's also
worth, it only took 1.8 seconds to type the full name "SMITH'S LONGSPURS," and
I'm doing this on the klickity-klackity brickety-brackety keyboard of a
stationary interior-dwelling computermachine) at the Helibase overlooking the
north shore of Greenwood Lake, on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 6. There
were many more Lapland Longspurs (2.2 seconds) there as well.On Wednesday,
October 7, 75 Sandhill Cranes were reported heading southwest along the shore
above Mt Josephine by Travis Novitsky, and120+ were seen passing over Silver
Bay from Mount Trudee, by MarshaMoreen and Ken Larson. On 10/9/20, linda whyte
