got the mozart-1-3-1-fixes and somehow worked out how to insert that
into the gentoo ebuild process, and installed now.

To get sources that compile with gcc up to 4.x follow the instructions at
http://www.mozart-oz.org/download/view.cgi?action=cvs&version=1.3.1
to download the mozart source from our CVS repository and specify tag
'mozart-1-3-0-fixes' to get the latest source for our release branch.
