Dear Mozart community,

We are happy to announce that the Mozart Programming System 1.3.2 is released and available today at: http://www.mozart-oz.org

Mozart 1.3.2 is a maintenance release with several bug fixes described in the Changes log that can be found in http://www.mozart-oz.org/documentation/changes/node1.html#chapter.m132

Currently, generic RPMs packages are available for Linux. We also provide tarballs and CVS access. Installer for Windows is also available and soon we will have MacOS X packages and Darwingports which can be use to install Mozart 1.3.2 in a Mac/Intell.

Credits in particular to the following persons who contributed to the release: Yves Jaradin for bug fixes, packaging and helping in general with the release. Kevin Glynn and Konstantin Popov for bug fixes, knowledge transference and big help. Filip Konvicka for bug fixes, contribution with a free windows installer and for being very proactive. Denys Duchier, Raphael Collet, Luis Quesada and other developers for bug fixes. Marc Hougardy and Fred Spiessens for helping from their Macs. All the people who contribute in any way I have forgotten to mention.

PLEASE contribute binary RPMs

As it has been with the previous Mozart releases, we rely on YOUR help
to provide binary packages for hardware platforms we either do not
posses or unfortunately have no resources to deal with. In particular,
everybody using an RPM-based Linux system is welcome to submit missing
Mozart binary RPM packages for specific Linux distributions. You just
have to fetch the source RPM"s and execute (as root):

        rpmbuild --rebuild XXX.src.rpm

This will produce binary RPMs normally found under
'/usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386'. For older Linux distributions, use 'rpm'
instead of 'rpmbuild'.

Building binary packages for Un*x flavours is certainly possible too
(except 64 bit platforms - we'll look some day into it) - interested
persons should check the installation manual, as well the "misc"
subdirectory in Mozart sources.

Send us an URL your binary RPMs can be downloaded from, and we will
place them on our download page.

Kind Regards,
Boriss
