In Netscape Communicator 4.x (without PSM) the user can go to the Netscape security GUI to enable/disable individual cipher suites supported by the browser under SSL 2.0 and 3.0. When PSM is installed (I used 1.4) ther is no user interface to select cipher. (At least I could not find one.) When PSM runs, the selections previously made in native NS still obtain. So a painful workaround is to shutdown NS; temporarily disable PSM; restart NS and use the native GUI to select cipher suites; shutdown NS; re-enable PSM; then restart NS. Is this user interface shortcoming fixed in a later release?
