I took a task a few weeks ago to investigate the Sleepycat license (http://www.opensource.org/licenses/sleepycat.php) to see if it was compatible with the MPL/LGPL and GPL in a way that would allow code released under it to be used by Mozilla.
Further to this, someone has suggested the following db project as having a compatible licence:

However, I am not at all qualified to judge its technical suitability.
