OK, combining this thread with Duane's comment about the mouse-over: <bug?>
If I go to website Bravo that is using Certificate Alpha, browsers will pop up a dialog grumbling about the mismatch. I click on OK for whatever reason. All standard stuff. The status bar now says Bravo. (This thread was about whether that was correct or not.) New part: The mouse-over says "Signed by ThisCA." That sounds incorrect to me. Bravo is definately not signed by ThisCA. Even if I clicked on the OK button, Bravo is still not signed by ThisCA. If I've clicked on the OK button, the mouse-over might say "Because you clicked OK" but to state that ThisCA has signed anything like Bravo without the presence of a Brava cert seems incorrect. (I just checked this ... in a Linux Firefox 1.0, the only one I have available to me.) </> iang -- Advances in Financial Cryptography: https://www.financialcryptography.com/mt/archives/000458.html _______________________________________________ mozilla-crypto mailing list [email protected] http://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/mozilla-crypto
