Dear Rasmus,

The first question to answer is what LDAP server you are using... as they are
definately not equal. I am using OpenLDAP and was fighting with the same
monster. In my plight, I found the following article:

If nothing else, it should provide a bit of checklist for what you are
doing... and maybe give you some more ideas.
