Some of you may be aware of our attempt here to add
Multiple Address Book support to Mozilla. Our first
patch landed successfully for milestone 0.9. This
refactored the address book source to support multiple
address books. Our next patch will add LDAP and MAPI/Outlook
support plus an enhanced ldap query string support. We
are making some experimental builds available of this Patch II
at the following website:
http://www.angelfire.com/linux/mozaddr
Linux and Windows builds are there now. We will be attempting
to get Patch II put back to the tree.
There is an explanation of how to enable both LDAP and
MAPI by simply editing the prefs.js file in the text file
SummaryPatchII.txt. Our next Patch (Patch III)
will enable this through the GUI. We hope to post some
screen shots of this soon.
