Will this fix: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11057 or is 
that a different aspect of MAPI?

If so then great :) LDAP is no use to me, but is useful in many 
corporate settings so it's great to see LDAP support, but support for 
simple MAPI will also benefit home users as some apps interact with 
their email client using MAPI and currently it's not possible to make 
the mozilla client the default email app under Windows (it's not even 
possible to set it as the default protocol handle for mailto: without 
modifying the registry).
