This caught my eye... I've noticed but not understood the thinking behind it.
Is there a published record of this "difference" issue somewhere convenient?
Or am I confusing the way of generating with the generated document?
FYI - my foundation is from the "old days" where documentation preceded software as a design target document. Thus when a user "bought in" to a tool, we had no license distinction between executable and readable software. Naturally there also were IEEE papers floating around that documented theory...
