They use some form of embedded c++ component for graps at <url:http://www.scintilla.org>. Tried to get Komodo up and running precisely because I wanted to check the color coding, but it crashed horribly. Noticed that Thunderbird uses some form of natively colorized textwidget, but gave up on trying to determince precisely how this could be. I wish I'd known about this group when I started asking questions about the <editor/> element, because I still cannot find any up-to-date information, but in any case I've concluded that non-native components are the only option. Does group members have alternative suggestions for simple, embeddable components [preferrably java based for me to hack it, expecting java to make more sense to me than c++]? > [glazou] Don't worry, a lot of people want this feature. I can live with an editor that has no features at all except for color coded syntax. I can even live with an editor that only supports basic XML- syntax [element, attribute and textnode] colorizing :] -- Wired Earp Wunderbyte _______________________________________________ mozilla-editor mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/mozilla-editor
