Well I've edited HTML in Mozilla Composer over WebDav for atleast six months. I think it's been supported since Mozilla 1.1a: http://www.geocrawler.com/lists/3/Mozilla/140/0/9148031/ Maybe I'm missing some intricate part of the question here but...
