to Suns JRE. Because this problem appears

Yes, this is a known problem on Windows. On Linux/UNIX, mozilla will 
invoke JVM in another process.

 

I suspect the problem is related to AWT thread.
   

I'm not embedding into a Swing/AWT program, I'm using SWT. Shouldn't
the embedded mozilla control spawn separate JVMs for applets? I don't
see what the problem is.
SWT is using the in-process architecture too. So you will see the 
problem when you use mozilla as the embed browser for SWT on Windows.
