Hello there,

http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/control.htm#installing
describes how to install the "Mozilla ActiveX Control".

So I downloaded Mozilla 1.7.2 Full Installer, installed it and tried to register "mozctlx.dll" but could not find it in the Mozilla directory.

"mozctlx.dll" seems to be missing in the Full Installer.

Then I downloaded Mozilla 1.7.2 as Zipfile. It includes the control.

I copied the control, a few dlls and some more components to my mozilla directory until

regsvr32 mozctlx.dll

ran without errors.

I ran the control and got the following error message in the window:
--------------------
The Mozilla control cannot create a critical component. This prevents the control from functioning correctly. Possible reasons for the problem are:
1. The PATH environment variable does not point to the Mozilla bin directory.
2. The registry key HKLM\Software\Mozilla\BinDirectoryPath registry key hast not been set or is incorrect
3. The file component.reg has not been generated or is empty.

Please refer to http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/mozilla.htm for guidance on how to resolve these problems.
--------------------

Why this error message not covered in:
http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/troubleshooting.htm ?

And where the heck is Mozilla's \bin directory gone?

Can anybody shed some light on this matter, please?

Regards,
Andreas
