Netscape's most current browser, Netscape 6, is a major improvement
over its
predecessors. As a home user, my demands from a browser are not much.
However, I find that Netscape 6 can be improved further. Below are some
of
the areas Netscape 6 should improve on. Also, there are suggestions of
new
features Netscape should implement below.

Areas Netscape 6 should improve on
--------------------------------------

1. Loading time (In my personal experience, Netscape 6 takes a much
longer
time than Netscape 4.x to load).

2. Proxy server configuration.

Internet Explorer 5 (IE 5) allows different dial-up settings to have
their
own proxy configurations. For Netscape 6, a user has to change the proxy
settings each time he/ she is connected to the internet via a different
ISP using a dial-up connection. For my case, I can connect to the net
via
three different ISPs. Each
time I'm connected, I have to change the proxy settings manually to
suit the
ISP (I'm required by the ISP to use a proxy).

3. Saving of webpages.

Netscape 6 is pathetic in the area of saving
webpages. IE 5 has already implemented the option of saving complete
webpages, i.e., webpages that contain both text and pictures. For
Netscape
6, it
is still not possible to save complete webpages. When a page is saved in
Netscape 6, only the text is saved. To save the pictures, right-
clicking of
them to bring up a context menu that has an option to save must be done.

New features Netscape should implement
------------------------------------------

1. Full-screen mode.

For a user with a 14 inch monitor, full-screen mode would be helpful.

That's all for now.
