"dev" or "development"? (Newsgroup Renaming)

Did you consider using mozilla.development.* instead of mozilla.dev.*? 
Microsoft uses the latter, and IMO, this is wise, because "dev" might 
not be known by *users* as abbrev. for "devlopment". Since all this 
renaming is caused by the try to keep users away, we should consider it. 
We can abbrev. m.d.foo, if we refer to those groups.
