I did some queries and found some things that should probably be
changed. Feel free to disagree or add more suggestions. :) Some of
these things are something that only certain people will be able to do.
Others are things that anyone can pitch in and help with.
1. 3 bugs are assigned to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a Status of
"Assigned" making it appear that someone is actually working on it.
These should be set to "New."
2. 78 bugs are assigned to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a Milestone other
than "---". It was suggested that all nobody bugs not have a Milestone
set so that queries could be done using keywords and milestones, such as
all bugs nominated for mozilla1.0 without a milestone set to indicate
someone is working on it for moz1.0. These should probably be all set
to "---" to make finding bugs that need help easier.
3. 652 bugs have milestones from M1 thru mozilla0.6. Assignees should
work on re-prioritizing these bugs so that contributers can see what
people might need help on before a milestone deadline is reached.
4. 124 bugs have the "patch" and "review" keywords set. Lets not let
these patches bitrot. I know that some of them are in the process or
being worked on but many are still waiting for a review.
5. 257 bugs have the patch keyword. See #4 above.
6. 673 bugs have a milestone from M19 thru M30. I thought these were
going away? or am I wrong?
7. 246 bugs are assigned to [EMAIL PROTECTED] If anyone wants
something to work on, here is a good place to look.
8. 18 bugs are currently being QA'ed by [EMAIL PROTECTED] Should the
QA contact ever be nobody? It seems like it should always be a real
person for the QA.
9. I've seen several cases recently where someone left either netscape
or the mozilla project but lots of bugs were still either assigned or
qa'ed by them. I know I saw Blake recently find a lot of bugs like
this. This could be bad if a real important bug slipped through the
cracks because it was assigned to someone no longer doing development.
Let's clean up bugzilla!
