Whooops!  My humble apologies to the Mozilla community for not clearly 
understanding your respective missions.  So that I don't risk being off-
topic in future postings, may I inquire if it is okay to post to the
        netscape.public.general
group?  I prefer to use my own newsreader, and surely Netscape has at 
least one group accessible independent of their home page, yes?  And 
thank you to Kostas for contributing useful information.
