Hi all. Call me behind the times, but I'm still running Win 3.x
(WfWG). I'm attempting to upgrade from Netscape Navigator 3.0 to
Communicator 4.08 (the latest version available for my OS?). The
installation went fine and all my bookmarks and email migrated over
appropriately. My problem is this: running Messenger Mailbox for
email, every single time I receive new mail in a given folder I cannot
read it. It shows up as a empty, undeletable message. If I go out
and delete the *.snm file for that folder, then when the directory
rebuilds the new mail is fine. Why doesn't the *.snm file get updated
correctly when the mail is received? Is this a bug? Is there some
setting I can use? My system is rock-solid stable and scandisk gives
me a clean bill of health. Other than this one problem Communicator
works beautifully - I hated to do it but I've had to drop back to
Navigator 3.0 just to keep my email-using family from killing me! Any
insight into this problem would be much appreciated.
