Believe it or not, it hadn't dawned on me that this might be a bug... I
remember the early days of Netscape Navigator, where it would also be pesky
about remembering a huge window size as the default, and how there was a
'Save Preferences' menu option that allowed me to stamp the current window
size into the defaults instead.
I guess I was misguidedly looking for that old option. Old habits die
hard. ;)
