The fact is they did happen. I'm using the latest version of
Communicator 4.7.6
I'm using the latest version of Netscape 6.01. There is no problem with
either install as I can use either alone with no problem.

I post and read the news group:

<snews://secnews.netscape.com/netscape.netscape6.macintosh>

I posted there. They "are" aware of the problem. People from netscape
posted acknowledging the problem and no work around other than
installing on separate drives.

Mac use a two fork File system (one reason we have so little problem
with viruses). One for contains the Data or application code. the other
fork is the resource Fork and contains among other things Type and
creator codes. This allows you to double Click on the file and open the
appropriate application not having to choose the application. But
Netscape 6 and Communicator 4.7.6 Share the same type and creator.
Type : MOSS Creator ; appl on the other hand because Mozilla is a
differt program its type is Moz so it doen't have the affect on each other.

Windows use a file system it contains the text/Application code, and
resources all in one file. That one reason when you have a .doc file if
you have WordPerfect, Word, AmiPro you have to choose the first time its
opened which word processor you wish to open and if the formatting code
is incorrrect between the two the formatting is lost. (Or atleast that's
the way it was in DOS, 3.3.1, and w95.) (That's also the reason why
virus writers have a field day with Windows programs and files.)

I use a G4-500 with 256 mb RAM, ATI Rage -128 AGP Graphics Card.

I know what I experience.
