Perhaps some of these were people who fell afoul of the fact that for a
significant part of a day, Netscape's web site promoted NS6 heavily and
only had "Preview Release" in (comparatively) small print. Also, the
term "Preview Release" might have confused many users used to the term
"beta" (I can only assume that this choice of name is a deliberate
attempt to make the product NOT sound like unfinished software, but I
can't blame marketting for doing their job). I applaud Netscape for
fixing their page quickly (it was just a morning, if I remember quickly)
but I can imagine that many users - especially those who don't have a
technically-minded friend who keeps them up to date on such things -
could have been confused.

Oh well. 6.5 will wow everyone.

Stuart.
