All of my plugins for mozilla have stopped working since installling
RealPlayer 8 from the RPM downloaded from Real.com. Everything had been
working great, albeit java was slow slow slow. I'm running Linux Mandrake 7.1,
and mozilla 0.8 (I've just upgraded to 0.8.1 and the problem still persists).
Everything was working fine---if I started mozilla from the command line I
could see the plugins being registered (and the java-vm taking an age to get
going).

However, last week I installed the Real Player 8.0 from RPM from real.com. Now
the java_vm does not start when I start mozilla, the plugins are not
registered at startup, and if I go to a page that has a flash animation or a
java applet on it I am told that I don't have the plugins installed. But I've
checked and they are still there just like they've always been. I've tried
re-installing both flash and java and neither does any good. I suspect that
the Real Player 8 RPM has changed something, but what? If anyone knows a
straightforward fix for this I would be so grateful.

TIA,

Darren
