Just delete the bin directory of your old Mozilla and replace it with
that of the more recent one. The possibility of problems always exist
with this, but it works very well for me the majority of the time.
BTW, you shouldn't be so reliant on Mozilla, since it is heavily in
development and things could go wrong. It's easy for me since I use IMAP
instead of POP3 for my email, so I never lose my messages if I'm forced
to delete my Mozilla profile. I also keep regular backups of my bookmarks.
