Changing Mozilla versions

Hy !

How can I change from Mozilla 0.8.1 to a nightly or later to 0.9 without 
having to do my profile again? I know it´s in the Users50 directory but 
something gets messed up each time I try to change (sometimes major and 
sometimes minor glitches). It would be great if I could get some help.
