Right, and again I agree, the download isn't terrible. But that wasn't where
the fat is in my metaphor. Have you checked the amount of memory Mozilla
uses at runtime? It's ~20MB ***just to display a blank HTML page***, and it
gets much worse very quickly when you actually go and try to use it. In an
afternoon, I could write a program that displayed probably *thousands* of
blank windows, and *still* not use up 20MB. People keep claiming that this
is a "recognized problem" and that "top men" are on the case (when they're
not ignoring the situation completely that is), but what do you want to bet
me that Mozilla 1.0 ships at least as piggish if not moreso than it is
today?

Unfortunately that is not always the case. Many an MIS department, for
whatever reason, dictate the browser which will be used company wide.

I'd guess not. Like I said, I use Outlook, and have done since it first came
out, and have yet to have anything freak out on me. But I'm sure those who'd
like to sell you anti-virus software, or non-MS software, have plenty of
stories they could tell you ;-).

Well, to each his own I suppose. I still can't see how you could do this even
if you wanted to. Wasn't it only a week ago that the nightlies were
destroying emails?
